SYNOPSIS OF THE MOVIE
A film somewhere between photography, soundscape and documentary. Everything revolves around life and its related movements. The protagonists are sound waves, water, the earth and particularly the moving air. A pitch dark tree in the forest, standing there like an installation to the sounds of distorted frequencies. Shots ring out on a green lake. Waves are at play with a bottle. Plastic covered leaves dance in the wind with a quiet murmur. A river hums a tune and moves along rhythmically. A tractor chatters across a field. At the end a fawn is standing on the freshly moved lawn and suffers. It’s as if we were watching from the point of view of an extraterrestrial, who encounters a bizarre world. The static camera extracts scenes whose here and now seem like an amalgamation of the past and the future. Lonely places where man appears periodically and leaves behind more than just acoustic traces. The film plays with complex connotations that elude any explanation—their enigma is conveyed through concise audio-visual impressions rather than through a narrative. Associative images roam the world–with shots from Iran, India and Germany–without us being able to guess our whereabouts. The breeze takes us by the hand and is on our side every step of the way. The wordless auditory world is constructed down to the last detail. Each movement has its own iconographic language and everything seems to communicate. A film experiment that allows our imagination to run wild as there is ample room for interpretation. That way everyone can alternate between the role of audience and author of his or her own story. The screen manifests itself as a projection surface in several aspects.
